Location

McCreary County is a prime location for the development of business and industry of various types. With our location just minutes from Interstate 75, a rail line running through our county, and relatively low cost of living and taxes, any business would be well served to look at McCreary County for development. We are also located less than two hours from Lexington, KY and Knoxville, TN, about three hours from Louisville, KY, Cincinnati, OH, and Nashville, TN, and have an airport located in our county for easier transport.

Workforce

Any business or company would find an abundant workforce in and around McCreary County to suit their needs. Education and training are also a high priority locally through local schools in the McCreary County School District, a fully functioning community college campus, and other educational opportunities nearby including Pine Knot Job Corps Center, University of the Cumberlands and various technical institutes.

We are Ready for Your Business

McCreary County has a new industrial/business spec building with land ready to shape for the needs of just about any potential business or operation. Our industrial building just had a remodel completed in June of 2020. We have all new LED lighting, a new vapor barrier, and renovated ventilation system. The building has a manufacturing bay that measures 25,550 square feet with an attached office space of 3,260 square feet.
