McCREARY COUNTY RECYCLING PROGRAM

Tire Recycling Program Offered to McCreary Residents!
If you have old, unwanted tires, the McCreary County Tire Recycling Program, utilizing state grant funds, allows local residents to dispose of them properly and free of charge. Drop off up to ten tires at the Scott Solid Waste office/transfer station in Stearns. For more than ten tires stop by the McCreary County Judge Executive's Office for a voucher to dispose of them free of charge. The McCreary County Recycling Center is located at the transfer station on Cabin Creek Road, off Wilburn K Ross Highway, in Stearns, Kentucky and is open weekdays 8:00am-4:00pm for items to be dropped off. You are asked to sort your recyclable items by type before delivering to the station. Below are guidelines outlining what is accepted at the McCreary County Recycling Center:
